The trip to Slovakia was started by Janja Kavčič, Tine Demšar and Martin Koderman we met in front of the MIC of The School Cent Škofja Loka at 7:00. We set of with Professor Klemen Černe. We drove from Škofja Loka past Ljubljana, Trojane, Maribor, Graz, Vienna, Bratislava, Nitra, Banske Bystrica, Propad to Spiška Nova Ves. On the way we stopped in Graz, Vienna and Slovakia. We arrived at Spišska Nova Ves at 5:30 p.m. It took us nine hours to travel to our destination.

We began our week with a reception from principal, professor and a few Slovak students. A tour of the city followed, where we toured the city centre and the church with the highest bell tower in Slovakia. After a tour of the city, we also took a look at the school. On Tuesday, the day began with breakfast at eight o’clock and then a walk to school where lessons began at nine and fifteen minutes. In the course we learned more about the program EMCO Operate 840D CNC. In the first week we learned about the milling process and on Friday manufactured our own product. The class ended at one o’clock, followed by lunch in the school cafeteria. In the afternoon, we hung out with the locals, saw the city and played football or floorball. The week continued in the same fashion until Friday.

Ko smo prispeli smo si ogledali mesto in šli v nakupovalni center, kjer smo kupili nekaj prigrizkov in nato poskusili Slovaško tradicionalno jed halušky in se odpravili nazaj proti penzionu.

Because we wanted to get to know Slovakia better, we went to the town of Poprad on Saturday. After lunch, we bought tickets and took the train to town. When we arrived we took a look at the city and went to the shopping center, where we bought some snacks and then tried Slovakia’s traditional halušky dish and headed back towards the hotel. On Sunday afternoon, Martin and Tine went to the zoo, which is the smallest zoo in Slovakia. They also went to a small airport, where sports planes land and take off and people learn to fly (picture of two helicopters Mil Mi-8). On Sunday Janja stayed in the room.
